Egyptian government on last legs, says ElBaradei

The return of Egyptian dissident Mohamed ElBaradei to his homeland yesterday undoubtedly raises the stakes in the conflict between protesters and the ruling Hosni Mubarak regime. Having undertaken an information blackout by disabling Egyptian internet sources the ruling government appears to have signalled its intent not to back down and the events of the coming days are therefore likley to be crucial in determining the outcome of the situation.

The thoughts and analysis of anyone with a more in-depth knowledge of the Egyptian situation would be greatly appreciated.
