Guardian journalist Peter Beaumont has been inside Libya and witnessed the confused situation of shifting frontlines. The apparent advance on Tripoli by opposition forces conjured by recent, and seemingly misguided new stories appears to have mis-represented a situation in which rebellion is actually happening town-by-town.
